At Mitchell College of Advanced Education (Australia), 15 students took methods and statistics in social sciences and 15 took computing using Pascal on an interactive, microcomputer-based distance education system. The computing students found interactive assignments superior to mail. Low use of a remedial math program and teleconferencing were found. Recommendations were made for better orientation and logon procedures. (SK)
