Integrating Technology into Preservice Literacy Instruction: A Survey of Elementary Education Students' Attitudes toward Computers.
Abbott, Judy A.; Faris, Saundra E.
Journal of Research on Computing in Education, v33 n2 p149-61 Win 2000
Examined attitudes toward the use of computers by preservice teachers before and after a literacy course that required the use of technology. Results suggest that increases in positive attitudes may have resulted from instructional approaches, meaningful assignments, and supportive faculty. Includes recommendations for instrument use in evaluating technology effectiveness and usefulness integrated into teacher education. (Author/LRW)
