Being Different: Correlates of the Experience of Teasing and Bullying at Age 11.
Sweeting, Helen; West, Patrick
Research Papers in Education: Policy & Practice, v16 n3 p225-46 Oct 2001
Collected self-report data on the experience of being teased and bullied from 11-year-old children, also gathering ratings of the children from their parents, teachers, and nurses. Teasing/bullying experiences did not differ by race, physical maturity, or height, but were more likely among children who were less physically attractive, overweight, disabled, or poor school performers.
