Academic Intrinsic Motivation: Developmental Differences and Relations to Perceived Scholastic Competence, Locus of Control and Achievement.
Makri-Botsari, E.
Evaluation and Research in Education, v13 n3 p157-71 1999
Studied academic motivational orientation in 410 Greek elementary and junior high school students. Findings show student preference for challenge and intrinsic interest in the subject material, a positive relationship between academic intrinsic motivation and self-perception of scholastic competence, and additive effects of academic motivation and locus of control on students' perception of their scholastic competence.
