Jump the Shark: A Rejoinder to Howley, Theobald, and Howley
Arnold, Michael L.
Journal of Research in Rural Education, v20 n20 p1-2 2005
In this rejoinder to Howley, Theobald, and Howley's response "What Rural Education Research is of Most Worth? A Reply to Arnold, Newman, Gaddy, and Dean," ("Journal of Research in Rural Education," v20 n18, 2005) to the original paper, "A Look at the Condition of Rural Education," ("Journal of Research in Rural Education," v20 n6, 2005), Arnold argues that the perspective of what he terms the "Rural Education Conservative Movement" exhibits biases that influence their research and result in a disservice to the rural schools and communities that they are trying to help.
