The Toll of Workplace Bullying
Killoren, Robert
Research Management Review, v20 n1 2014
Bullying may be more common than most people think. According to a study commissioned by the Workplace Bullying Institute, one in three employees experience bullying in the workplace either as a victim or as a witness suffering collateral damage. Bullying is a serious problem. Directors, managers, and staff members need to ensure that it does not occur in the workplace. Otherwise, operations may be suffering. Depression is the most common symptom of workplace bullying. This article discusses the origins of workplace bullying and the effects on workers.
