Getting to Know Education in the Pacific Region
Regional Educational Laboratory Pacific
The Pacific region is comprised of American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI); the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)-Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Yap; Guam; Hawai'i; the Republic of the Marshall Islands; and the Republic of Palau. This document begins by providing a map of the REL Pacific region overlaid on a map of the United States for comparison. It then goes on to show the work that REL addresses within each entity along with the following information collected for each entity: (1) Number of Students per Teacher; (2) Population Demographics; (3) Official Languages, and Language of Instruction; and (4) Institutions of Learning.
