Indianness, Sex, and Grade Differences on Behavior and Personality Measures Among Oglala Sioux Adolescents
Cress, Joseph N.; O'Donnell, James P.
Psychology in the Schools, 11, 3, 306-309, 74
This study assesses Indianness (mixed or full-blood), sex, and grade differences among Oglala Sioux high school students, using the Coopersmith Behavior Rating Forms and the Quay-Peterson Behavior Problem Checklist. Results indicate that mixed-bloods had higher achievement and greater popularity than full-bloods. Fewer problems and higher achievement were evident with increased grade level. (Author/HMV)
