Accordino, Denise B.; Accordino, Michael P.; Slaney, Robert B.
Psychology in the Schools, v37 n6 p535-45 Nov 2000
Examines the relationship of perfectionism with measures of achievement and achievement motivation and mental health aspects of depression and self-esteem in high school students (N=123). Results indicate that students' personal standards were significant predictors of academic achievement and academic motivation. Also reveals that as students' personal standards increased, their levels of depression decreased and self-esteem increased. (Contains 52 references and 5 tables.) (Author/GCP)
