Physical Attractiveness and Children's Expectations of Potential Teachers.
Hunsberger, Bruce; Cavanagh, Brenda
Psychology in the Schools, v25 n1 p70-74 Jan 1988
First- and-sixth grade students responded to social attribution and social preference measures for photographs of attractive and unattractive potential female teachers. Students preferred attractive photographs, judging them as nicest, happiest, and prettiest teachers, and as teachers from whom they would learn the most. Unattractive photographs were judged as teachers who would punish their students more when they misbehaved. (Author/KS)
