Teacher's Referral of Children with Mental Health Problems: A Study of Primary Schools in Hong Kong.

Elementary school teachers (N=222) in Hong Kong completed Conners Teacher's Rating Scale (CTRS) for total of 874 students. Two months later, teachers decided whether students had behavioral or emotional problems requiring referral, considering 55 students as requiring referral. Referred students had significantly higher CTRS scores compared to nonreferred students. (Author/NB)
