Globalization affects every aspect of higher education through increased demand, diversified student bodies, a growing private sector, and a variety of delivery mechanisms. But universities should not see themselves as passive victims of globalization. As creators and disseminators of knowledge, universities shape globalization just as much as they are shaped by it.
