Mentors for Women Entering Administration: A Program That Works.
Luebkemann, Heinz; Clemens, Jacqueline
NASSP Bulletin, v78 n559 p42-45 Feb 1994
Describes a Florida State University study of six women principals to determine specific influences in their emerging development as successful leaders. Although women can advance without mentors, having mentors can definitely advance the timetable for entering the administrative ranks. Since mentoring efforts are not always successful, careful thought must be given to selection and matching considerations. (MLH)
