Sussman, Joshua; Beaujean, A. Alexander; Worrell, Frank C.; Watson, Stevie – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2013
Item response models (IRMs) were used to analyze Cross Racial Identity Scale (CRIS) scores. Rasch analysis scores were compared with classical test theory (CTT) scores. The partial credit model demonstrated a high goodness of fit and correlations between Rasch and CTT scores ranged from 0.91 to 0.99. CRIS scores are supported by both methods.…

Leuty, Melanie E. – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2013
Test-retest data on Super's Work Values Inventory-Revised for a group of predominantly White ("N" = 995) women (mean age = 23.5 years, SD = 8.07) and men (mean age = 21.5 years, SD = 5.80) showed stability in mean-level scores over a period of 1 year for the sample as a whole. However, low raw score and rank order stability…

Neto, Felix – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2012
The purpose of this article was to develop the Satisfaction With Sex Life Scale (SWSLS). Scores from the SWSLS have favorable psychometric properties. Cronbach's alpha was 0.92. Evidence based on relations to other variables was examined. Suggestions concerning the use of the SWSLS for research and clinical purposes are offered. (Contains 2…

Carrola, Paul A.; Yu, Kumlan; Sass, Daniel A.; Lee, Sang Min – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2012
This study assessed scores from the Counselor Burnout Inventory for factorial validity, convergent and discriminant validity, internal consistency reliability, and measurement invariance across U.S. and Korean counselors. Although evidence existed for factorial validity across both groups, mixed results emerged for the other forms of validity and…

Wong, Alex W. K.; O'Sullivan, Deirdre; Strauser, David R. – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2012
This study investigated psychometric properties of the Revised Developmental Work Personality Scale (RDWPS). Results yielded a 14-item three-factor model that aligns with the original DWPS and fits the data very well. RDWPS scores were useful in predicting the resolution of Erikson's fourth stage of development, indicating construct validity.…

Arterberry, Brooke J.; Martens, Matthew P.; Cadigan, Jennifer M.; Smith, Ashley E. – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2012
This study assessed the score reliability of the Drinking Motives Questionnaire-Revised (DMQ-R) via generalizability theory. Participants (n = 367 college students) completed the DMQ-R at three time points. Across subscale scores, persons, persons x occasions, and persons x items interactions accounted for meaningful variance. Findings illustrate…

Pistole, M. Carole; Roberts, Amber – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2011
This study investigated aspects of construct validity for the scores of a new long-distance romantic relationship measure. A single-factor structure of the long-distance romantic relationship index emerged, with convergent and discriminant evidence of external validity, high internal consistency reliability, and applied utility of the scores.…

Erford, Bradley T.; Clark, Kelly – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2011
The reliability and validity of scores on the Disruptive Behavior Rating Scale-second edition-teacher version (DBRS-II-T) was analyzed. The DBRS-II-T was designed to assess teacher observations of students referred for behavioral difficulties. The five-factor model fit the data poorly, but convergent and diagnostic validities were excellent.…
