The Symptom Checklist-90-Revised (SCL-90-R) is a widely used assessment of mental health pathology; however, its factor structure has been called into question by numerous studies. This study assessed a community mental health outpatient sample (N = 336) with the SCL-90-R and analyzed the factor structure. The results indicated that the SCL-90-R…

Özdikmenli-Demir, Gözde; Demir, Serdar – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2014
The validity and reliability of the Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy (SEE) was tested using a sample of 348 emerging adult university students living in Turkey. Derby, Dustin C.; Smith, Thomas J. – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2014
The purpose of the current study was to assess the gender invariance of an a priori four-factor solution of behavioral consequences of drinking. Results evidenced strong partial measurement invariance, with marginal structural invariance, which signals that the underlying constructs possessed the same theoretical structure for both men and women.

Rice, Kenneth G.; Suh, Hanna; Ege, Engin – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2014
Data from clinical and nonclinical samples ("Ns" = 2,096, 618) were used to evaluate and replicate the measurement structure of the Outcome Questionnaire-45.2. Different measurement models and invariance tests were evaluated and the best psychometric support was found for a shortened measure of two factors: overall maladjustment and…

Daire, Andrew P.; Dominguez, Vanessa N.; Carlson, Ryan G.; Case-Pease, Jenene – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2014
We administered the Family Adjustment Measure to 368 parents of children with special needs to identify positive adjustment. We randomly split the sample to conduct exploratory factor analysis ("n" = 194) and confirmatory factor analysis ("n" = 174). Results indicated four possible subscales and that explain 51% of the variance.

Cho, Yongrae; Hong, Sehee – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2013
The factor structure of the Korean version of the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale was examined. Rather than the six-factor model, the five-factor model with a method factor was supported. This result suggests that the AWARENESS and CLARITY factors can be combined into one construct, controlling for the method factor. (Contains 1 figure.)
