Data from a sample of recent medical technology graduates from 1993, 1994, and 1995 (n=457) indicated that younger, less satisfied, and male technologists had stronger intent to leave the profession. Professional commitment accounted for significant variance in intent to leave. (SK)

Responses from 607 state government supervisors identified personality and situational factors in mentoring. Willingness to mentor was related to previous experience as a mentor or protege, educational level, and quality of relationship with supervisors. Australians (n=226) in one of four stages of a second career (contemplating, choosing a field, implementing, change completed) were compared with 81 nonchangers.
