Careers of office technologists and machine operators (n=1,205) in Flanders, England, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, and Spain were followed for three years after entry. The cultural dependence of practice career planning, skill development, consultation, and networking was demonstrated. Effects of practice behaviors differed by occupational group. (SK)
