Patterns of Career Choice and Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy.
Gianakos, Irene
Journal of Vocational Behavior, v54 n2 p244-58 Apr 1999
A study of 172 subjects revealed four career-choice patterns developed in late adolescence/early adulthood: stable, conventional, multiple-trial, and unstable. The stable and multiple-trial groups had significantly higher career decision-making self-efficacy than the other two. The stable group was more likely to have professionals in their chosen fields as role models. (SK)
