Interviews of 69 adults who had participated in the Youth Development Study as adolescents identified occupational decision-making themes: unfulfilled expectations, postponement of decisions, turning points, resources, and obstacles. Results suggest a need for changing and strengthening social policy especially related to career counseling. (Contains 32 references.) (SK)
