The purpose of the two studies described in this paper is to validate dimensionality of the job involvement construct through empirical testing of existing measures. Cumulative results of these studies suggest that job involvement is a unidimensional construct which can be operationalized in terms of one's psychological identification with work. Implications of results and future research issues are discussed. (Author)
