Sex Stereotyping in Vocational Counseling of Blind/Visually Impaired Persons: A National Study of Counselor Choices.

Half of the group of 96 vocational rehabilitation counselors were presented with biographical data about a male client and half with identical information on a client who was female. Counselors tended to suggest sex-stereotypical jobs and, on the average, to predict that women would start and continue at lower salaries. (Author/CL)
