GED: An Option for Students with Visual Impairments.

Describes the development of a general equivalency diploma (GED) preparation program at the New York Institute for Special Education, which serves students who are visually impaired. It reports that as of June 1996, 19 students (all over age 19) with visual impairments had participated in the GED program. Thirteen of these students have received GED diplomas. (DB)
