Adolescents with Visual Impairments Who Have Best Friends: A Pilot Study.
Rosenblum, L. P.
Journal of Visual Impairment & Blindness, v91 n3 p224-35 May-Jun 1997
This pilot study examined the friendships of 22 adolescents with visual impairments. It found that the female participants and the younger adolescents (13- to 15-year olds) had more intimate friendships than did the male or older (16- to 19-years-old) participants. Few participants reported that their visual impairments affected what they did with their friends. (DB)
