Barak, Moshe
Journal of Technology Education, v14 n1 p20-34 Fall 2002
Observations and interviews in electronics classes in 12 Israeli high schools over 4 years yielded these findings: (1) electronics majors declined among high achievers; (2) conventional instruction belied the hands-on purposes of technology education; (3) 9 schools replaced final exams with a 12th-grade project; and (4) the project approach increased student interest in and demand for electronics courses.
