An Analysis of Eleventh Grade High School Students' Work Values

Students who participated in a work experience program underwent a significant shift in 4 of 15 work values; the findings support other evidence that new experiences continued over time are instrumental in changing values. Among recommendations are to develop: experiences instilling occupational awareness and work experience programs incorporating value-clarification opportunities.
