The Ideal Child and the Successful Student: A Comparison of the Perceptions of Trade and Industrial Teachers vs. General Education Teachers
Bradley, Curtis H.; Du Cette, Joseph
Journal of Industrial Teacher Education, 13, 2, 57-63, Win 76
General education teachers in the study characterized the ideal student as curious, open-minded, critical, honest, and independent. Trade and industrial teachers characterized him as cooperative, honest, ambitious, competitive, and obedient. Both perceived the ideal child's attributes to be the same as those important to school success, contradicting earlier studies. (Author/AJ)
