Integrating Technology into Constructivist Classrooms: An Examination of One Model for Teacher Development.
Carney, Joanne M.
Journal of Computing in Teacher Education, v15 n1 p7-15 Fall 1998
Examines a professional-development center established by a consortium of Seattle school districts that integrates technology into constructivist classrooms. Interviews with participants and program directors and observations of teachers participating in seminars and interacting with students and teachers provided data on four elements deemed crucial for effective teacher learning. Results suggested that the program helped teachers reform their practice. (SM)
