The Tools of Teacher Education: Preservice Teachers' Use of Technology To Create Instructional Materials.
Roberts, Sherron Killingsworth; Hsu, Ying-Shao
Journal of Technology and Teacher Education, v8 n2 p133-52 2000
Examines the effectiveness/efficiency of preservice teachers' use of technology to create instructional materials developed in an undergraduate reading/language arts course. Results showed no significant difference between measures of overall quality of the technology assistance as compared to handmade prompts. Eighty-five percent of the teachers reported that given a future task of creating additional writing prompts, they would prefer computer-related applications. Samples of writing prompts are appended.
