Examined student teachers' developing knowledge about the nature of well-remembered classroom events and the forms and patterns of the events under different conditions. Analysis of periodic interviews with two elementary student teachers indicated the teachers formed different understandings of their experiences and followed different conceptual paths in learning to teach.
