Forty secondary school teachers were asked about their attitudes toward student teachers. The cooperating teachers' responses about why and how often they accepted student teachers, whether they regarded student teachers as peers, and what characteristics they valued most in student teachers are summarized. Their advice to student teachers is included. (PP)
