The Relation of Student Teachers' Classroom Behavior and Eriksonian Ego Identity
Walters, Shirley A.; Stivers, Eugene
Journal of Teacher Education, 28, 6, 47-50, Nov-Dec 77
Student teacher observation supported the hypotheses that those with high Identity Diffusion Indexes and Identity Resolution Indexes would (a) receive lower grades in student teaching, (b) accept fewer learner ideas in classroom interaction, and (c) ask fewer higher level questions during classroom interaction, thereby suggesting the use of personality factors as program admissions criteria.
