An Evaluation of the Field Experiences of the Innovative Model for the Preparation of Elementary Teachers for Science, Mathematics, and Technology.
Wilson, Janell D.
Journal of Teacher Education, v47 n1 p53-59 Jan-Feb 1996
Field experiences in a teacher certification program for elementary science, math, and technology were evaluated for their effectiveness in improving participants' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor ability. Surveys and interviews indicated participants felt little connection between the content coursework and educational methods course. They preferred small group activities (which increased self-efficacy). (SM)
