Of 74 Fortune 250 companies surveyed (30% responses), 51 had diversity training programs; length of training had no impact on level of backlash; some issues having more impact included programs being substituted for affirmative action or focused on productivity. Backlash was unaffected by inclusion of diversity goals in managers' performance evaluations. (Contains 18 references.) (SK)
