Networks as Learning Communities: Shaping the Future of Teacher Development.
Lieberman, Ann
Journal of Teacher Education, v51 n3 p221-27 May-Jun 2000
Educational reform networks are well-suited to utilizing new technology and institutional arrangements. They are flexible and innovative and can create collaborative environments and develop agendas that grow and change with their participants. Teacher educators participating in these learning networks help recreate the meaning of scholarship itself. The National Writing Project and Carnegie Academy are examples of successful networks. (SM)
