Questionnaires and interviews were used to study student teachers' anxiety and reactions to classroom successes and failures. From the questionnaire responses, it was clear that anxiety fell during the three-week practice session while custodial attitudes increased. (FG)

Teacher education is defined as sets of activities intended to socialize candidates into the occupation of teaching. Ten parameters that affect and constitute teacher education are presented as a matrix which can be used to organize, synthesize, and analyze the research literature of teacher education. (FG)

A description is given of the ways that multicultural education is integrated into the undergraduate education program at the Margaret McMillan School of Education in Bradford College (United Kingdom). The aim of the program is to support interaction of distinct social groups within a pluralist society, based on mutual tolerance. (FG)
