To identify a procedure for establishing cut scores for National Occupational Competency Testing Institute examinations in Pennsylvania, an expert panel assessed written and performance test items for minimally competent workers. The three in-school success measures used for the model was overall GPA, shop grade, and proficiency score on Ohio Trade and Industrial Education Achievement Test. A relationship between the predictor variables and the criteria in terms of time was found with predictiveness increasing from ninth to eleventh grade. (MS)

Data from a Pennsylvania longitudinal vocational development study were used to test the congruency aspect of Holland's theory of vocational choice with a sample of high school males enrolled in the vocational-technical curriculum. Limited support for the applicability of Holland's theory of congruency-incongruency was found. (MF)

A study used a combination of cross-sectional and longitudinal designs to assess the variables of curriculum, intelligence, socioeconomic status, and Career Maturity Inventory scores. The mixing of a multiple regression analysis approach to analysis of covariance with a convergence design proved to be a viable method. (SK)
