Aviation technician students used Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) while using the computerized Technical Troubleshooting Tutor. Interviews with 71 apprentices in Kenya compared formal and informal sector approaches. The informal group (n=24) gained more entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, influenced by small site size and length of training.
