CASE in Point: Knowledge, Skills, and Dispositions
Passman, Bruce
Journal of Special Education Leadership, v21 n1 p46-47 Mar 2008
Over the years, the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) has searched for mechanisms to share information that is important and helpful to the CASE membership. During the past year, CASE initiated the use of "Survey Monkey" as a mechanism to obtain information and opinions from the membership. This article shares some of the input gathered from CASE members. CASE members were asked to identify differences in the "knowledge," "skills," and "dispositions" necessary to the successful administrator of special education services as compared with building principals. Each of the questions was categorized and prioritized into four categories to which participants most frequently responded. The items and responses are presented along with a brief analysis. (Contains 3 figures.)
