Does the Acoustic Environment Make a Difference to Children with Multi-Sensory Impairments?

This study examined the effect of acoustic conditions on reception of sound signals in 5 children (ages 1-4) with multisensory impairments. Results supported the significance of acoustic conditions, with signal-to-noise ratio singled out for its importance in the reception of sound signals. Implications for auditory training are drawn.
