Identifying Growth Indicators for Low-Achieving Students in Middle School Mathematics.
Foegen, Anne; Deno, Stanley L.
Journal of Special Education, v35 n1 p4-16 Spr 2001
One hundred middle school students completed four measures of mathematics skills (involving basic facts and estimation) twice in one week. Criterion measures included school grades, standardized test scores, and teacher ratings. Correlation and regression analyses indicated the measures are reliable and possess acceptable levels of criterion validity. Results support use of the measures as indicators of mathematics proficiency. (Contains references.) (Author/DB)
