An Oral versus a Standard Administration of a Large-Scale Mathematics Test.
Helwig, Robert; Rozek-Tedesco, Marick A.; Tindal, Gerald
Journal of Special Education, v36 n1 p39-47 Spr 2002
Students (n=1,343) were administered either a standard format mathematics test or one in which questions were read aloud. Performance of students with learning disabilities (LD) was compared to others on specific "difficult reading" items. Elementary school students with LD (but not middle school students with LD or general education students) performed better when these items were read aloud. (Contains references.) (DB)
