The Remediation of Elementary Students' Low Social Status through a Teacher-Centered Consultation Program.
Tyne, Thomas F.; Flynn, John T.
Journal of School Psychology, v17 n3 p244-52 Fall 1979
This study compared the effects of four classroom-based indirect teacher consultation methods on students' low sociometric status (SMS) in third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade classes. Providing teachers with both generative factors of out-group membership and ameliorative strategies was no more effective in enhancing these students' status than providing ameliorative suggestions alone.
