The Dartmouth Health Promotion Study: A Failed Quest for Synergy in School Health Promotion.
McIntyre, Lynn; And Others
Journal of School Health, v66 n4 p132-37 Apr 1996
The Dartmouth Health Promotion Study was a longitudinal, quasi-experimental study that examined whether coordinating school health instruction, health services, and healthful environments would enhance the program's effects on children's heart and mental health. Analysis of fourth- through sixth-grade participants and nonparticipants indicated that the coordinated approach was no more effective than the standard school health program. (SM)
