The Image of the Health Educator.

This 1970 paper explains that the health educator is a role model for friends, family, and students. The health educator becomes identified with the goals of health education. As one who works to favorably influence health attitudes and behaviors, the health educator's image reflects, favorably or unfavorably, on perceptions of those goals, thus influencing teaching effectiveness.
