A comprehensive school health education program should attempt to offer a variety of appropriate health learning experiences in suitable grade levels with health topics that are: based on a realistic combination of interests, values, and needs; planned in coordination with an adequate cross section of school and community leaders; and taught with effort to address pressing social needs.
