Modifying College Health Teaching in Open Enrollment
Schwartz, Pearl
Journal of School Health, 43, 8, 529-530, Oct 73
The author describes her findings in teaching Health Education to remedial students at Queensborough Community College. She found that remedial students should receive assignments at the first class meeting and that they should use one textbook (which contains a summary and questions at the end of each chapter) rather than several. Frequent tests (covering a limited content area) and follow up are also recommended. (EK)
