The Effects of Auto-Tutorial Science Process Instruction on Teacher Achievement and Its Relation to Specific Undergraduate Majors
Romero, Frank S.
Journal of Research in Science Teaching, 14, 4, 305-9, Jul 77
Achievement scores of student teachers in the areas of science, humanities, and social studies on tests of five process skills are compared. Fifty-four subjects were assigned to treatment (auto-tutorial) and control (lecture-discussion) groups. Subjects experiencing auto-tutorial instruction were found to achieve significantly higher than those in the control group and science majors' performances surpassed those of social studies and humanities students.
