Mechanisms of Differentiation: A Response To Roth and McGinn.
Apple, Michael W.
Journal of Research in Science Teaching, v35 n4 p423-25 Apr 1998
Connects taken-for-granted activities to the micropolitics of differentiation in institutions such as schools. Analyzes the mechanisms through which grading works as a technology of differentiation and normalization. (PVD)
