Portal: Your Door to World Languages and Cultures was a series of public cultural events, in a variety of formats, created through a new partnership between the credit and continuing education (noncredit) foreign language programs at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). Portal was designed to cultivate interest in foreign languages and cultures by breaking down misconceptions and offering cultural demonstrations and language lessons. It also promoted enrollment and retention for foreign language courses and resulted in several positive outcomes.
