A Comparison of Learning Disabled Adolescents with Normal Learners on an Anaphoric Pronominal Reference Task.
Fayne, Harriet R.
Journal of Learning Disabilities, v14 n10 p597-99 Dec 1981
To investigate differences between learning disabled and nonhandicapped adolescents in comprehension of pronoun-antecedent relationships, a pronoun reference task was administered to 75 learning disabled (LD), nonacademic, and academic 10th and 11th graders in a middle-class suburban high school. Results indicated that LD students may have specific comprehension difficulties related to their inattention to integrative textual cues. (Author)
